Houseplants 101 Workshop with potting

Let’s beat the heat and turn our thoughts to indoor gardening! Learn all our tips and tricks for choosing the perfect houseplant for your space and your schedule at our Houseplants 101 Workshop. Enjoy wine, beer and snacks while Lisa Graf, our in-house plant expert and co-owner of Graf’s, gives a presentation on the basics while she shows you different ways you can display plants in your home. We will also explain the added #wellness benefits of surrounding yourself with plants. They’re proven to boost moods, decrease stress, and filter indoor air toxins. Plant care questions welcome. After, choose your perfect 4.5” plant based on what you’ve learned and place it in a ceramic pot. You’ll also take home a coupon for 20% off your next plant and pottery purchase. This workshop requires pre registration and payment of the $19.99 workshop fee which covers your plant, pot, moss and instruction. Drinks and snacks are provided for free. Air Plant Frame Workshop with wine

Let’s beat the heat and create a living piece of artwork for inside your home or office! At this workshop, you will create an air plant frame that can be hung up on the wall or sit on a table or desk. While you sip on wine, learn about air plants and how to keep these tropical beauties healthy and thriving! Then the creating will begin. You can paint or stain your frame or leave it natural. This workshop requires prepayment of the $30 workshop fee. The workshop fee includes your frame, filament, stain or paint, staples, instruction, use of tools and three air plants. More air plants will be available if you would like to purchase more. Drinks and treats are offered for free.

Flower Truck Pop-Up

Missed our Flower Truck Meet and Greet and would like to see our new Flower Truck, Gladys? Join us at Graf’s to sip on mimosas and shop from our flower bar! Come and design your own bouquet featuring our field grown flowers. Not sure where to start? We’ll help you create a bouquet to match your style and share our favorite preserving tips with you too! Mimosas and breakfast treats will be offered for free. Bouquets are additional. No sign up is needed for this event! Everyone is welcome.
Succulent Bowl Workshop with wine
Wednesday, August 8 at 5:30 p.m.
Join Karlie from Graf’s for this hands-on workshop that includes a brief overview of succulents including different types, care, best container options, watering and light requirements and tips on using the right soil. Karlie will then demonstrate how to create your own beautiful succulent bowl garden and walk you through the process. Not a crafty or plant person? Karlie will be there every step of the way to answer any questions and help out when needed. You will go home with a customized planter filled with succulents and all the info you need to keep them healthy and thriving. Bring a friend, enjoy wine and let’s get our hands dirty! This class requires prepayment of the $15 workshop fee. Your workshop fee includes your instruction, soil, rocks, moss and other necessary tools. You are welcome to bring a container from home or purchase one here. Plants are additional. Wine and snacks are offered for free.

Summer Cooking Seminar with wine

Come, sip on wine and learn how to change up your summer meals using in-season produce from the farm market! Cookbook author and Cleveland food blogger, Judi Strauss is leading the cooking seminar at Graf’s. During the demonstration, she will show attendees how to make fresh and bright lunch and dinner recipes using local ingredients. Enjoy refreshments and healthy samples of all the recipes. You’ll leave inspired to get home and get cooking. Strauss began her career working in the horticulture department of the OSU Extension Service. She then went on to embrace her passion for cooking and has written numerous cookbooks including The Charmed Kitchen. She now writes the Charmed Kitchen blog as a way to share her knowledge about gardening and favorite recipes. This class costs $5 and including instruction and recipes. Samples and refreshments are offered for free.
